    I note with interest that this week's editorial is demanding a public consultation on the proposed development of Trowbridge town centre. I was the first to put pen to paper;

    Sir,

    With respect to your call for a public consultation on the future of Trowbridge town centre, might I suggest that the whole town be flattened and serve as a much needed overflow car park for the city of Bath.
