    That's assuming the maoists don't get the upper hand and turn the country's economy to rat sh*t.

    Only happens in some places in England never abroad. Actually the only place I had a problem was in Birmingham years ago (true), I guess they were not used to tourists in those days. I was there recently and had a great time and no probs spending Scottish notes that time.

    So what's the point of this part of the thread anyway? Money talks whatever the currency or pictures printed on it.

    Some banks will charge a wee bit more commission for an exchange but aside from them never had a problem exchanging Scottish notes anywhere else, they'd rather you spent the money there than go elsewhere.
