Thought I'd conduct a quick straw poll to see how many of us are genuine geeks and how many (such as myself) came into IT from another walk of life.

For the record, I trained to be a taxidermist but ended up spending 6 years in th army before returning to university where I studied Classics followed by an M.Sc conversion course after having had a year of not doing very much.
