    Him "Where are you?"
    Me: "Near Farnborough"
    Him: "I'm in Milton Keynes"
Me: "Oh, that's a long way"
Him: "So when can you deliver it?"

WTF? I think I'll just take the thing to the tip.
Many bike shops buy (or take) second hand stuff and sell it on. I bought my kids' second-hand bikes from such an establishment, ironically in Milton Keynes.

Anyway, then he said I'd have to knock £50 off because he'd have to get on the train. Bollax said I but I'll pick you up from the train station.

Picked the guy up who told me he'd bought a single train ticket, then tried to hassle me for £50 off again. Ummm - not being funny but you're not exactly in a strong bargaining position when you've got no way to get home! That was funny.

So he paid up in full eventually (although he did moan again that the car was smaller than he thought - WTF again?) and then asked me how to get back to Kent. I gave him directions to the M4 but that wasn't good enough. He had no idea the M4 went to London, had no idea where the M25 went etc. In the end, told him to follow the M4 to London then turn right.

Wonder if he ever got home.....
Is this the car you sold:

Why not take it to a charity shop? I'd have thought there are plenty of parents who are a bit hard up right now but could do with a cheap bike for their kids.

Freecyle, always managed to get rid of stuff pretty quickly. People are a tad more responsive and will turn up to take stuff away.

Heck, I even got rid of an old greenhouse, the person who wanted it turned up with tool box and spent six hours taking it down themselves and packed it in the their car.
