    And to be fair he stood against it. he also showed great fortitude in not going on to a spending spree until he got carried away in the late 2000s. I am sure he began his spending spree when he thought he was getting closer to the PM job.

    France too in bed with the Germans for this to be true. Southern Block would be the PIIGS, plus new member states, who'd have to migrate to Northern block when the financial situation was good enough. I think we'd only make the southern block right now.
