Geert 'blonde bombshell' Wilders is a chum of Nigel Farage's, who seems to have a lot of admirers here.

You can thank Geert Wilders for thatOriginally posted by petergriffin View PostI have, it was last year and it was awful.
Yes, as long as I know smoking dope is not a crime in NL, but the council can enforce public order rules if you act strange. In the last few years there has been as increase in xenophobic attitude and not only towards the Brits but pretty much anybody who is not a native Dutch speaker.

I believe this story about 5,000 of them cancelling their trips is a fabrication.
I have sent a letter of complaint to the BBC. And VIZ.

The best legal drugs in Amsterdam are the strong mushrooms you can get. Much more fun than getting heavily stoned if you are not used to it.

Last time I went the taxi driver that picked me up from the station gave me his card saying he could get anything I want and the streets are full of people looking for some guy called Charlie.Originally posted by petergriffin View PostThis is stupid. As an upstanding EU citizen I should be OK then?Originally posted by darmstadt View PostAs far as I know it doesn't affect those of us who live in Germany (or Belgium), just drunken chavvy Brits (and smelly French)

I think you'll find that the drunken idiots are on the Leidseplein and throwing up all over the pavement around the red light district. You see the stoned chavs hovering around the shops near centraal station but if you know which areas to stay away from then hamsterjam isn't bad.Originally posted by original PM View PostI have been to Amsterdam a few times - and generally I did not really feel it was full of stoned people - yeah obviosly it is freely available so some were stoned but.. I prefer that to pissed up knobheads.
Although I do recall laughing at some fans when the Euros were held there - half of them were asleep in their seats watching the footy no doubt a cause of too much bear n cheeba!!
