I also thought I heard them say on the news there was no footage, they showed him lying on the ground with people running towards him - which is no more or less macabre than showing a man fall over.

If he died soon afterwards they wouldn't have showed it again.

There are certain thing they will not show on TV nor will press photographers try to sell due to public decency.

When Diana died there were pictures of her and the other occupants of the car mangled bodies. Some photographers tried to sell them to newspapers and they never got published.

You tube shows him already down, and then being worked on. To be fair to ESPN they rightly directly the cameras at other things.
