    Its a fair comment about the hype. But I did want to go just to take the kids. I thought there was 1 ticket site - not 1 per country. Also people should only have been allowed to apply for 1 ticket per person.

    As for the money, I hate the sponsorship but I hope the games will return a profit. As technically it is the London rate payers who are on the hook for the debt - and I am one of those!

    Brillo, I love Olympic Games, but I hate all the hype. It is more about "selling the UK" than the sport, the tail wagging the dog. I especially hate opening and closing ceremonies.

    I'd sooner it was held elsewhere. Then we'd have another 10 billion spare for George to spend.

    I'm not particularly looking forwards to either, primarily because I live in London and it's busy enough already. Still, at least they are spending money tarting the place up and it looks like I may have swung an overseas gig until it's over so I suppose I should be grateful.
