I'm afraid I don't remember Woodstock when it happened.
I do remember the first moon landing a few weeks earlier though, because that was what I was watching on TV!
It was in the early hours of the morning and my mum let me stay up to watch it. Next day I was late for school. There were a few of us. I thought it was a good excuse but the teacher disagreed.

I've often wondered to myself, what was I doing at the precise moment
that Country Joe mounted the stage and uttered those immortal words?
Well thanks to modern technology I've been able to work out with a
reasonable degree of confidence what I was up to at that time.
Country Joe took to the stage at 2 pm Eastern Time on Sunday 17th August
1969. *
This would have been 7pm in the UK allowing for the 5 hours time
difference.
Now, a quick reference to the tv room plus shows that
at this time the BBC were showing The Virginian. *Now, since I did
nothing else other than watch TV at that age it is fairly safe to deduce
that I was watching this programme at the time Country Joe took to the
stage. *I have to admit, though, that it is equally likely that I was
being entertained by Jess Yates as my mother often used to like watching
Stars On Sunday.
What is not so clear are the nature of my activities when Country Joe
took to the stage for his solo performance on the Friday in which he
performed his Fixin' to Die Rag. *TVListings has no entry for Friday 15
August 1969 so my movements will, for the time being at least, remain a
matter of pure conjecture.
So you are 65 years old and have just had a baby?
