    My Dinner Last Night

    Met up with wife's uncle last night to pick up her mother's birthday present. We'd booked a table in a country pub near Farnham for some food.

    On arrival, we found we were booked in for the full Valentines menu – candle on the table, a pink rose in a vase, pink paper lovehearts everywhere.

    I guess that's what you get when you ask for a table for 2 on Valentines day

    No wonder the landlord gave me such a funny look when I turned up with a bloke 20 years older than me.
