Didn't she also admit to being drunk at the time as well? I see to remember the Govt putting out warnings to men about taking advantage

Isn't there an offence of "contributing to the corruption of a minor"? or something

This is such a sad story but it comes as no surprise. Accountability and responsibility seem to be things of the past in this country. How can the mother be 'proud' that her 11 year old daughter went out and got drunk and then fell pregnant? But then again how can an 11 year old girl expect to have a decent future with a mother like that. We are now in our second generation of people to whom discipline is just something that appears in dodgy porn films!! This type of story will become more and more common and I suppose the natural progression is that the country will eventually fall into a completely anarchic state.

I see no mention of the council house they will have waiting for her and her mum to move into, freshly decorated etc.
And its only fair she receives the support of numerous care workers to ensure her human rights and those of her baby will be taken care of.

She should be Beheaded!
The only solution is to lower the legal age for smoking to 6 months, that way they can go straight from nipple to filter tip without losing the sucking reflex.

I Despair of this country
Child's pregnancy raises concerns
The case of a schoolgirl who fell pregnant at the age of 11 has prompted calls for a better teenage sexual health strategy in Scotland.
The girl from West Lothian - who would become one of the UK's youngest mothers - told a newspaper that she was looking forward to having her child.
the girl, now 12, got pregnant to a 15-year-old boy.
She said she was looking forward to motherhood and hopes she has a boy when she gives birth next month.
The girl added: "I think I'll be able to cope as I've had lots of practice looking after my brothers.
"I'm enjoying being pregnant - even though I get a bit of a sore back and sore ribs."
Her 34-year-old mother told the newspaper: "I'm not ashamed of my daughter at all - in fact, I'm proud of her for keeping her baby."
The newspaper said the girl smokes up to 20 cigarettes a dayTags: None
