Especially if the barsteward kicked back.
The Rover manual showed the "keep your thumb in the right place on the starting handle" picture to avoid hospital appointments.
Granted though, a 2.6 would've posed more of a challenge.

My neighbour is a Nissan Mechanic and he lent me his battery pack to start my motorbike once and told me to link it to the frame not the terminal due to potential issues with the electronic ignition unit getting blown.

This car is before 2005 so can be jump started, its the post 2005 that cannot be jump started.
