Judging by the photo though, he's broken the vertabrea, not suffered any cord damage (especially given he walked into & out of A&E). Would think he might be hospitalised for up to 12 weeks, but should be more or less ok after that, maybe some residual pain.

According to the club web site (assuming I have the right one) he is likely to be laid up for some time.

No but he posted his mugshot on here a few times and said which team he played for.
And there he was - full colour picture with scaffolding around his head.
Doctors discharged him originally saying he had just pulled a muscle
