Going to buy a 27 inch iMac need some help with the add ons

I know its gay but I haven't seen anything that's comparable!

27 inch 2.7Ghz Quad i5

Memory - upgrade to 8Gb is that enough (current Vaio is running 1GB)

Hard Drive-1TB seems more than enough

Mouse & Trackpad - Magic mouse, magic trackpad,MM+MT,Apple mouse which is the best?

Apple Remote - seems a bit OTT although the VAio has one

Thunderbolt cable - wtf??

Thunderbolt storage - not sure I need EDD

Mainly be used for posting krap on sites like this, downloading porn,creating invoices,occasional play with virtualisation and as a trophy machine to impress the guests

£1588.99 so reassuringly expensive

or should I go for the quad i7 flavour?
