The marina is quite nice. Decent restaurant in the customs house (El Puerto) there. You can get a water taxi from there into the bay as well.

do you know much about the sailing scene down there?
my mate is determined to come stay with me every weekend... but I suspect I'll get abandoned for the sailing scene!

excellent! definitely need a good curry house to go to. I was in cardiff with a mate whos from there originalyl and we drove passed a thai restaruant which he said had a very good reputation although he'd never been... I can't remember the name, think it was near roath park and I seem to remember thinking it was pretty big... any ideas?

May have a look then. Also, Spice Merchant is a quality curry house in the bay which used to be sadly lacking in late night eateries but is definitely getting better.

Life and liquid - See previous comment on alcopops and argos.
Walkabout, O'neils etc - Same as every other one in the country
Flares - hen & stag nights
Soda, Aqua, Whispers, Reflex are fine once you've had a few.

Mill lane has some decent places on it plus you can sit outside.
The Yard is okay as is most of the brewery quarter.

Floyds is not what it once was but has its moments and avoids the chavs.
Henrys is okay.

Oh and then there's kiwis

In the bay you have terra nova, salt and waterguard that are good especially if you don't fancy the centre.

Life is a bar with a late licence few doors away from the aussie bar(which is quite good), Soda is a small but sound club.

Then you have your Liquids etc....
