Just a thought. Would do a survery but can't be bothered.
    1. Because it's the convention.
    2. Because otherwise AndyW's mum dresses us up like little girls and poos in our mouths.

    WHS

Why do we have to have sensible answers?

I quote different rates dependent on location.

If the location is London I'll always want a minimum of £50per day more than I would do for being local.

Again if driving I may add a little.

And if I'm asked to work in the North I ask for an extra £100000000000000000000000000000000 per day.

Proobably, yes, if it's a response to an ad, but I don't usually get work that way; I get work through a couple of agents who know me well and through a network of senior managers and programme managers who know what kind of person they want.

I hate this talk of 'most competitive rate' and so on. Speak English, stupid bint.

And no, I am not cheap. If you want cheap, go ahead, we'll speak again in a few months time when someone else has made a mess of it.

I've been on the same rate, give or take 40 pounds a day for the last 4 years. It seems it's the going rate excluding expenses for my work, I'm happy with it and would not accept any less unless desperate which I don't see happening.

Short answer,no I don't lower my rate to be competitive.

A few years ago I got a call about a permie role and the she-pimp asked if I thought I was pricing myself to high. This was for less than a third of what I'm on now FFS. Maybe it's a woman thing.
