Many years ago I did a lot of maths for my electronics studies (basically many variations on deep trig) and found it a bit boring after a while.

Well some people are intelligent but didn't do well academically.
Pooper comes across as thick as a plank and he has a crappy engineering degree (which is much easier than a maths degree) from a crappy ex-technical college.

Fwiw my original comment that one has to be slightly weird to study mathematics was self deprecating humour. You are simply proof that many a true word is spoken in jest as they say.
