Special software to access the helpdesk? Let me know who and I'll quote them for a web-based tool

PM is happy that a bit of blagging with the client will be needed but we get along well and he's happy giving me plenty of notice to get upto speed if it means I stay on contract.

I goto download the relevant docs from their site, no access.

To access their docs I need an Internal Support ID.

To get an internal support ID I need to raise a request on the intranet.

To be able to raise a request I need to have access to it.

To gain access to the intranet I need to put a request in on their Helpdesk.

To access the helpdesk I need a specific piece of software to which I am currently waiting for it to be installed, but as it's Friday that's not going to happen until atleast Tuesday... madness.

This has been the case in every contract I ever had. Shortest was 2 day wait, longest was 2.5 months! Easy money.

I was on a project where 1/5 of the contract was spent waiting for access.

Kerrrching, but I hate wasting my time, I didn't extend.
