The 1st sign will be when one of the Euro countries increases spending on the army.

Let's see how well the Germans take having to prop up governments and economies across the rest of Europe without getting twitchy marching feet!Originally posted by AlfredJPruffock View Postone of the aims of the EU was to diffuse German Hegemony in Europe which has been achieved - the danger of a resurgent Germany devoid of the EU with not only the largest economy but land army in Europe is in nobodys interest.

My main issue is the Euro currency which IMO is a flawed concept (look at history and the ERM), pushed through by Germany and France with a vision towards a "United States of Europe". I understand the banking sector in the UK generates heathly wedge of GDP so there's no easy solution.Originally posted by AlfredJPruffock View PostFarge supports the concept of trading in Europe - a common Market but not a political Union ,,,however he also supports the bonuses paid to UK Bankers this year - I kid you not
Moreover he does not appreciate that the EU is fundamental for Europe's security and future - let me put in another way - one of the aims of the EU was to diffuse German Hegemony in Europe which has been achieved - the danger of a resurgent Germany devoid of the EU with not only the largest economy but land army in Europe is in nobodys interest.Last edited by NervousRexx; 10 November 2011, 23:23.

EuroSceptics like Mr Farge are ignorant as to the massive impact that the breakup of the EuroZOne would have on the UK economy ..
Thank goodness David Cameron is not so ignorant.Last edited by AlfredJPruffock; 10 November 2011, 22:08.

Totally agree:
Will probably get on "Have I Got News For You" tomorrow, but unfortunately not the main news. Hopefully I'm wrong. Agree with Farage 100%.Originally posted by vetran View PostLets hope that gets on TV - a lot, I think a surprising number of people (for the politicians) would agree with his sentiments.Last edited by NervousRexx; 10 November 2011, 20:45.

Beats me why UKIP had Lord Pearson as their leader for ages.
He's a nice enough old cove, but more like a quiet unassuming old philosophy professor than the kind of quick witted tub thumping and far more charismatic leader they needed and now have in Farage.
