Yes, unfortunately, and I'm not in favour of them; a bad idea that undermines people's own responsibility to make the best they can of their chances.

What's wrong with cleaning the street, collecting garbage, or working on a construction site? If it was paid decently it's quite possible that britain would not have to resort to using foreign labour to do the jobs - and to pay benefits to turn the less intellectually capable into chavs.

That's why those who promote it like labour are the "useful idiots" of the system.
It's easier to import cheap labour than to pay decent wages. And then to blame the english worker for not be "willing to do demeaning jobs".
The British have a whollier than thou attitude. Almost as if their shit: smells better than other people in the world.
Britains welfare system is a disgrace, without it, litter pickers, toilet cleaners, car washers etc would be British born, not foreign born. If you don't want to do a low paid job, get an education or work yourself up.
Big kickup the arse needed.

What's the point of these petitions? You all sign up for a EU referendum and it gets abolished.
I reckon England increases it's population so it can say it spends less per head than Scotland on vital public services.
