    The old windup alarm clocks are back in fashion.

    No batteries to go flat.

    Not Time sync signal interference.

    Easy to re-set alarm.

    Easy to read time of alarm without pressing buttons.

    I've got a clock that's easily put into alarm mode (just picking it up and in doing so accidentally pressing one of the huge buttons). So I cut its speaker wires. Bliss.
