    ShoeLacesExpress - Kevlar® Work Boot and Hiking Laces

    100% Kevlar with metal tips, should probably outlast your boots.

    Gold has a tensile strength of 100 mega pascals, or 10 kg per square millimetre. A bit tulip for laces.

    By comparison parachute cord (don't know the cross sectional area) has a breaking strength of 250 kg

    Actually come to think of it gold isn't as tulip as I first thought. I thought it was really stretchy (ductile), but it's less stretchy than aluminium, polyethylene and polypropylene. Never handled the stuff unfortunately.
