There must have been a major warm spell around 2000 years ago too, because that's about the time Otzi the Iceman went for a swim.

Although he was found partially embedded in ice, where he had been for over 5000 years, he and all his gear was in such disarray that the only conclusion was that all the ice around him had melted to a large puddle and everything, including the remains of Otzi, had floated about before refreezing (and picking up in the process pollen and suchlike that has been dated to around the time of Christ).

That was natural warming so it's okay.

If the planet naturally gets too warm and we all die, that's okay. If the planet naturally gets too cold and we all die, that's okay.

BUT if the planet got a little bit hot or cold, and we could pin it on the middle classes, with their flat screen tellies and SUVs, WELL, the lentil eating green eyed lefties will be FUMING!

Hence leftie "scientists" in the pockets of "leftie" govts to promote lentil powered politics to the masses.

New study confirms pre-medieval tiems warmer than today

Yet more evidence showing it was warmer 1000 years ago:

A bit like that published peer reviewed paper I put a link to that showed Greenland was siginficantly warmer than today in 1000 AD from ice core data.
