    A lot of people in town were dipping into the public ponds and fountains. And not just the kids, and a few had came prepared and were wearing swimming trunks ffs.

    Almost the perfect hot day, warm and sunny, but not the kind of sun that feels like it's zapping your skin DNA, and the evening looks set to be nice too (Scotland excepted).

    Is it terribly sad and lonely to light a BBQ for one? The wife's away and already did social stuff for a rugby breakfast... but have some sausages and rolls left and a disposable BBQ left over... and most of a crate of lager...
