Why is it? Surely to have a single party means that they can implememt what they like for the term of their government. A coalition at least means that they have to convince their partners to back them.

1 - What jobs are these young people going to do, I always have doubts when I hear that politicians can guarantee jobs, does Balls want to copy the Italians where they have none jobs just to give people something to do and sod the debt?

2 - Possible, but £5 billion will not turn it around on its own.

3 - Balls is talking Balls - this will not make any difference other than adding to the existing debt, the last time they did this it did not change anything. Is the reduction of a TV from £500 to £490 really going to make people spend, spend, spend?

4 - As someone said, much of this is evaded anyway, and will not make much difference, if any.

5 - If a new employee was on £15K, is the saving of employers nic going to sway the decision? I doubt it and anyway, what about large employers, this is not consistent and is just a play to the unions and naive public.
