They're probably doing similar in your neck of the woods, though more discretely (as escorts) than standing outside McDonalds next to a cop shop.

Hamburg is a great place. Shame the tower was closed when I was there, the views must be spectacular.

Reeperbahn is a bit tacky in places (Soho style strip bars) but to date is the only place where I have been propositioned by a line of prostitutes outside a McDonalds, next to a police station.

The phrase "if it seems too good to be true" came into my head, as they were all very tasty late teens, but apparently it's all legit, and many of them are students paying their way through college.
