    Ah, yes, the dear old Mechonoids in Terry Nation's "The Chase". Here's a good factoid for you - all through the camera scripts it says "mechonoids" but in the Radio Times listing it said "mechanoids" and the latter stuck.

    Peter Purves' introductory story as well. In fact he plays two roles in this one... Morton Dill, bemused cowboy tourist on top of the Empire State Building when the TARDIS lands closely followed by a timeship of Daleks and, of course, Stephen Taylor, spaceship pilot and on-going companion.

    I'm glad you tracked that one down. I couldn't sleep a wink last night for worrying about a shocking gap in my Dr Who knowledge.
