but its a decent plan. If all you want is to ensure people know you exist talking crap to get on TV or newspapers is far cheaper than paying for advertising.

I didn't think there was a rule against standing up per se, just that people are correctly secured.

What grounded the idea was that aircraft are certified to carry a max number of passengers due to takeoff weight and evacuation capabilities - and Ryanair seating layouts are already at this max level.

So even if they did have passengers standing up - they would still only be allowed to carry the same number of passengers they are currently carrying anyway.

O'Leary was just making up the plan to get publicity - and it worked.

Apparently Micheal o'Leary makes up stuff in interviews which others at Ryanair know are technically not feasible due to Aviation rules.

After all even the cabin crew have to sit down and be strapped in for take off and landing.

Also what he suffered was not a cardiac arrest - that is when your heart stops beating. You've got minutes to live unless you receive CPR and defibrillation.

Perhaps the shock at being told how much the sandwich cost was enough to jolt his heart back into action.

Lady Tester rushed to assist a sick person on the Thalys when the conductor put a call out for a nurse, a policeman, a fireman and a girl in a bunny outfit to attend the stag party in back of the train.and was rewarded with several bottles of wine and a free 1st class return from Amsterdam to Brussels for both of us.
