Or are you thinking about Apple Corp, the Beatles music publishing company

I think what they did to touch pads is what BMW did to mini, keep working through the mistakes / lessons learnt until you get a winner. Something UK industry & unions struggle to understand.

They've certainly succeeded with the design and marketing where others have failed in the past. Maybe they were in the right place at the right time technology wise.

I wonder how they get away with it patent wise when there is certainly prior technology around predating anything iTouch. Maybe the finger is deemed sufficiently different to the old stylus.

Amazing how much money they've made from repackaging the MP3 player and being first to market with a decent, almost reasonably priced digital download service.
Much of their cash comes from being first to market with decent, usable handheld computers - iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.

BBC News - Apple holding more cash than USA

Apple now has more cash to spend than the United States government.

Latest figures from the US Treasury Department show that the country has an operating cash balance of $73.7bn (£45.3bn).

Apple's most recent financial results put its reserves at $76.4bn (£46.9bn).

Amazing how much money they've made from repackaging the MP3 player and being first to market with a decent, almost reasonably priced digital download service.
