    Hehe I like that - I'll have to use it in an interview, especially for a contract in Germany

    Meanwhile, here's a little poem by Rudyard Kipling

    Dane-Geld
    ----------

    It is always a temptation to an armed and agile nation
    To call upon a neighbour and to say: --
    "We invaded you last night--we are quite prepared to fight,
    Unless you pay us cash to go away."

    And that is called asking for Dane-geld,
    And the people who ask it explain
    That you've only to pay 'em the Dane-geld
    And then you'll get rid of the Dane!

    It is always a temptation for a rich and lazy nation,
    To puff and look important and to say: --
    "Though we know we should defeat you, we have not the time to meet you.
    We will therefore pay you cash to go away."

    And that is called paying the Dane-geld;
    But we've proved it again and again,
    That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld
    You never get rid of the Dane.

    It is wrong to put temptation in the path of any nation,
    For fear they should succumb and go astray;
    So when you are requested to pay up or be molested,
    You will find it better policy to say: --

    "We never pay any-one Dane-geld,
    No matter how trifling the cost;
    For the end of that game is oppression and shame,
    And the nation that pays it is lost!"

    Not exactly the same, as France & Germany are paying Greek-geld for the Greeks to stay, but the same principle ..

    Why make cuts when you can have an endless stream of cash coming from France/Germany instead.

    But banks are slowing unwinding themselves of the toxic debt in other countries. When the risk of contagion becomes low enough... and the costs of continous bailouts become too high...

    I'd fall at the first hurdle.

    I don't do the last three anyway. Well maybe a quick test to make sure I've not done anything too obviously stupid. All other problems are found by the testers.

    Code is 'self commenting' in that it's written in english. Also doubles as documentation. All other docs provided by the anal-ysts.

    Yep, looks like they've cottoned onto the whole 'too big to fail' ethos.

    I was worried my warchest was in unsafe hands with it being in a bank, but now realise as banks are 'too big to fail' there's nothing to worry about.

    I'm currently wondering how I too can become 'too big to fail'.

    It will be over by Christmas!

    I understand now why Cameron is pushing overseas aid, next year expect the Greeks to be a major beneficiary.
