    Yep.

He got free-care in prison then complained as he was refused release on compassionate grounds for a few years.

Then when he was finally released his health improved.

Fingers crossed Bush, Cheney, Perle, Rumsfeld, Blair & Kissinger keep this trend going.

No, actually you are wrong - 6 bullets in his head PREVENTED life threatening conditions.

He is a perfect example of someone suffering a life threatening condition before he could be brought to justice.

    My thoughts exactly.

Plus if you are seriously ill in Western jails, they try and keep you alive as they don't want to be found to have killed you or let you die.

There as someone in your regular hospital staff may be tempted as they are human after all whatever oaths they have taken.

Well the moral lesson here is quite clear, committing war atrocities is bad for your health.

With him it was more the case that by releasing him the multiple questions about the safety of his conviction that would embarrass the British government all of a sudden went away.

It is not just war criminals.

Ernest Saunders (of Guinness) did do 10 months in jail in 1991 but his Alzheimer's disease that got him early release seems to have cleared up.
