As a United fan, I thougt we didn't give a good account of ourselves and the best team won on the night (easily). However I'd say that given the fact United have been in the final 3 times in that last 4 years it shows the gulf between Barca and the rest. United had very few problems getting past Chelski but were then trounced when it came to Barca. I'd say part of the problem stems from the premiership itself and the style of football we play and the different reffing styles between the UK and Europe. I don't think Barca would actually do as well in the Premiership as many think. A number of the tackles that Valencia put in, would ahve been ok in our game, but on Saturday it resulted in the ball being given back and another long period chasing it. If Barca were in the premiership, then the more physical teams in the league would not give them the time on tha ball they need and they would get away with it because the refs allow a more physical game over here.

If United tried to play like Barca they wouldn't win the premiership. If they play like they do in the premiership, then its obvious that they can't win the Champions League. It's almost like they need 2 teams one with a couple of specalist players who concentrate on the European games.

Yes, that's the only official way to sign neg reps. You have to sign +reps with Real AtW.

Only my real life rep is important to me.

I don't think I've -ve repped anyone (maybe once for gingerism?) yet I've had 4 from keyboard warriors who don't leave a calling card.

It depends if you simply take the final score as the metric. There are many games where one side has 10 great shots but the goalie gets lucky and it ends 1-0, where the losing side is totally thrashed. Conversely there are games which end 3-0 which are down to one side getting lucky with their shots, goalie error, whatever.

Playing OK and getting beaten 3-1 and having 30% posession is more of a rogering than 5-0 when you just have a shambolic game. It's a more meaningful defeat.

I don't see why that's hard to understand. Having a proper discussion with a real fan of any team is kind of pointless though.

All this stuff about flukes, what happened next time and winning every time is beside the point.

It could happen when he's a bit older but it seems to me quite likely that he'll spend his career at Barca. I don't think any of the players who came through the Barca youth system are likely to move of their own accord TBH. They seem like a very happy family.
