Decathlon
Decathlon do their 'own brand' running shoes @ £10. These are genuine runners, not trainers.
I bought the wife and son a pair each a few weeks ago and both love them. It was well worth a punt at that price.
Decathlon also sell a full range of higher-priced running shoes. TBH, its like a Wacky Warehouse for adults - you can have a go on everything.
London one is at Canada Water. Manchester one is at Stockport Pyramid.

The only place I've seen trainers for 5p was in Oxfam, and that was in 1978.

Asics do a decent midrange shoe that doesnt cost the earth. No more than £30-40 from Sports Direct or JJB. Had mine for 5 years and they are still comfortable and in one piece.
EDIT :
D'OH! Just seen the training for 5k post.

Trainers for 5p
Hi,
I plan to run a 5K race, but I don't have any decent trainers to run in. What would you suggest I buy for this? I am not that fit, but I am normal weight late 30s. Don't smoke or drink much ( A few pints a week)Tags: None
