A unique method of writing of the software stuff.
No sooner requested than done.Get back to posting this sort of stuff in TPD!
This related, so far as I recall, to the unique method of writing software invented by some Esteemed Customer or other.
Ah yes, I remember who it was now.

Just looked at some code created by an esteemed customer, who's currently working on his 3rd year project.
Seems not to realise that
is not the same asCode:STATUS ;supposed address of status reg, actually 0x00
The comments above, naturally enough, are mine.Code:STATUS equ 0x03 ;address of status register

This has to be in by May.

Despite these bijou problemettes with the code, he's got it writing in some obscure way to an LCD.
It sort of works as long as Zeity applies his claw in a specific place on the interface.

Though it must be said that I don't spell "Moisture" quite the way it's displayed.

Having corrected various errors & warnings, it now does rather less than it did before.
Little though that may have been.
Tell me about it.Originally posted by norrahe View PostTime flies when you're having fun

Esteemed customer has just left & not in a good move.
I have no idea what his software is doing & neither has he.
Ho hum.
The pile it high & debug forever approach to software "engineering".
It wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't collecting various bits of compiled code and joining it together.
A more futile means of coding it would be difficult to find.Last edited by zeitghost; 28 April 2017, 13:35.Tags: None
