Jeanne Calment, the oldest woman in the world, smoked until she was about 115 years old or so.
Smoking in your later years is also excellent in the treatment of dystrophies like MS, dementia as well as many other conditions and beneficial to everyones mental health.
Not aimed at you KP, but I didnt want to upset others that posted a while back things like "my relative died of smoking", but that is pure and utter claptrap.
Smoking does not kill you. Smoking is a scapegoat used in medical fields. For example, the OH was underweight when she was born and the nurses said to her mother "you shouldnt have smoked" but the thing is, her mother was a devout catholic that never smoked at all or drunk any alcohol. No doctor can look at someones health and instantly ascribe a condition to just one factor in their lifestyle, utter nonsense.
It is your lifestyle that kills you as well as the environment around you, a cumulation of factors. If you abuse your body beyond moderation, expect an early death.
