It was in the blue bar at the very top of the page "Forums" and in the grey bar under the logo "IT Contractor Forum" as well as being one of the graphics boxes. I thought we have covered all possibililties there!

I saw the image first, then the blue bar one, then scanned the left-hand nav and didn't see the one in the grey bar at all. Possibly convention led me to search the left-hand nav a few times. Suggest unifying the wording too, dropping 'contractor' in favour of the word 'forum' as the consistent link. Mind - I bet most traffic comes straight from search engines to the forum pages or to them directly.

I can't find a link to here from the new CUK homepage. Are we not wanted anymore?

Am sure you won't be the only one who can't see the wood for the trees so have added in the old "bulletin board" link to the main menu.

It's what usability peeps call 'box blindness'. Place critical nav in a graphic or something that looks even vaguely like an ad and a lot of people just won't see it, preferring to scan textual or horiz/vert links instead.

Look at the pretty pictures just below the first paragraph. We're the first one. Being all webby 2.0, you click the piccy and not a boring old 1.0 text link.
