    There is no benefit in kind on smart phones. There was a thread in Accounting which covered this recently. HMRC have changed their earlier advice that they didn't consider them 'just' phones.

    Off course you can especially if you are involved in development. Even if you are not it's a smartphone, and you are allowed a smartphone and a mobile phone under HMRC rules.

    Won't it belong to the business therefore not personal?

    I've never bothered putting my phone through the business as it's a small expense that I'd pay personally anyway.
