I was on 'up to 8Mb' getting 2Mb, I'm now on 37Mb. Different technology slightly more honest or possibly I'm just pleased web pages don't crawl.

Our town was due to be moved onto FTTC by Sept 2010 and the BT decided to push that back to Sept 2011. Presumably they need to wait for electricity to arrive first!

If I ever go down the route of Infinity, I would have to divide the results by a factor of 6. The SpeedChecker says I should get 3mb on the "Up to 20mb" ADSL line, but only get 0.5, therefore I would only expect to get 6.5mb on the new Infinity package.

Oddly, my work appear to be on Virgin too, with speeds pretty similar to mine.

Edit: Dunno why it's saying Morecambe though

The checker says I'll be able to get 37Mb/7Mb in March. It's the upload I could do with more.
It's a different router isn't it? And did you have to sign up to BT or are you still able to use other ISPs?

7-9Mb upload.
The technology AIUI is slightly different its VDSL rather than ADSL.
Telecity - Couple of my employers have put kit in there.Apparently some contractor kept breaking it.

I get 50Mb download and about 4 Mb upload. That's with Virgin. They're supposed to be rolling out a 100 Mb service sometime but not sure when.
