Shame that's over 200 miles from here, I love seafood and since it's pretty much as fresh as possible there I bet it's excellent.Originally posted by PRC1964 View PostIf you can make it here, do. The Company Shed
Sea food that is fresh, straight to your plate and lots of it. Take your own bottle, bread and any condiments you like.
Just watch the tide, we got stuck for a while leaving.

I stay away from anything like this in takeaways as its normally frozen and devoid of flavour.
You can beat a decent shellfish platter.

I love crab.Originally posted by Spacecadet View PostI've had fresh crabs in Chennai, cooked to the local recipe.
Very nice, very spicy and now I'm dribbling thinking about them.
They were actually better than chilli crabs in Singapore

Cheese and tomato on bread with a couple of extra toppings for fifteen quid.Originally posted by suityou01 View PostDid make me think though, are there any other proper weird items on your local takeaways menu?
There are some right mugs around.
I never use one but they put their leaflets through my letterbox.

Garlic crabs
Not a treatment for an STD but actually a dish on one of the local Indian takeaways.
Sounds proper weird so I had to have it as I am having major garlic cravings this evening. Did make me think though, are there any other proper weird items on your local takeaways menu?Fried in mashed potatoes & garlic paste, highly spiced
Deep fried spicy Hippo?
Sechuan Llama?
Yak Jalfrezi?
Fill yer boots, but keep 'em honest.
