I don't know, my memory is hazy too. I went at least 15 years ago. I stayed in that hotel halfway up the mountain, near Nino's bar.

Is the big ski race still going? I went about 10 years ago. Fantastic place.

Ain't nothing better than the Winter Olympics. They go faster and higher and crash harder than anything in the summer olympics. And if the future of England really is a cooling..maybe one day they might come here. Perhaps then we might have a decent Ice Hockey team that wasn't full of Canadians and Americans.
I watched the female snowboarders today the winner I'm sure was on something. She was using some type of slang that I could not make heads or tail of.
Funny how the BBC doesn't advertise 301 or 302 on air. I'll have to check it out. The digital multi-screen is great too.

For all Freeviewers
The BBC appear to have leased channels 301 and 302 to show their BBC-i stuff. I've watched it over most of the weekend (I've been ill...). The cross- country skiing was fascinating with the favourite fallling over in the 1st 5 yards, then spending the next 30km making up for it.

Winter Olympics
Where did they come from? Bit of a lack of publicity or have I had my head in a bucket for the last few months.
Should be fun. I find the normal Olympics extremely dull but the Winter ones are like Jackass Olympics. Can't wait for the 'Throw yourself down an icy hill on a tea tray' event. The ice dancing stuff's a bit gay but the giant darts is always more compelling than it should be.
The only downside is it's the only sports format where the Scots tend to be better than the English.Tags: None
