They don't do 'sessions'. It is all the time.Originally posted by kandr View PostI often wonder how much these guys could put away on a typical session.
For example, a pint of port and brandy for breakfast is quite normal when at their level. Well, not Gascoigne's, he's still only practising. But I would expect the likes of Oliver Reed to have been able to shift a few litres of spirits in a day.

I think Coke is better than tea because it has so much sugar. Irn Bru is supposed to be good too.

A ½ bottle of tequila wouldn't have touched those guys. And anyway, they would have drunk it the next morning, not the night before.Originally posted by kandr View PostI think I've read about this one, it was published in the paper by Gascoigne, Best and Reed et al.

Tequila.Originally posted by kandr View PostHangover, what helps
Absolutely excellent for a hangover.
At least two times when I have had a really bad headache & sickness hangover, tequila was just the thing. Surprisingly.

Will remember that for next time thanksOriginally posted by aussielong View PostDiarroeaha salts - buy them in the chemist. One of them in a small glass of water has the effect of 7 pints of water. They contains all the minerals, etc, that you need to rebalance your body chemistry. Drink one before bed with a couple of nurofen and it makes a world of difference. If you forget , have it when you get up, takes about half an hour to kick in. Works wonders. Trust me.
Coke - a can of coca cola is miles better than coffee if you wake up with a hangover. Don't know why, but it seems to help.
Greasy food - a fry up helps. With a can of coke (full fat, not diet) instead of coffee.
Sleep - catching up on sleep after you've done the above, helps.
