Weren't the current crop of nukes meant to have reached the end of their operational life by now as well?

Don't suppose there would be any political pressure on the Inspectorate to extend their life span

Socialists can hardly wait, and nor presumably can the SNP.

There's nothing that turns on lefties as much as the chance to start rationing something, and really feel in control.

There are other plans to reduce this gap that does nor rely on poxy windmills, but we don't have enough forests to feed them for long.

And Raymond Briggs and I are writing a new book called: When The Windmills Don't Blow
Could put that on the bookshelf next to 'when fossil fuels run out', 'when North Sea oil runs out' and 'when the UK has to sell something to buy her energy needs'.

Dont expect there to be any gas CH in 20 years.

And I live in Scotland where the SNP want our 2 Nuclear Power stations that provide 60% of our power to be switched off and not replaced.

Here in Germany they have loads of power stations and they still wear scarves indoors.

We might have to learn to wear clothes indoors again rather than heating houses to tropical temperatures.
