    Good point. Unfortunately, some companies are now disregarding your salary at termination and just pay the Govt. stated minimum rate (which I think is around £380 p.w. ) Worth checking before taking the plunge.

    Yup, happened to my OH, she worked for many years at the same place then dropped down to part time after kids and was made redundant soon after. Redundancy payment was based solely on part time pittance salary. S0ds.

    OH's day went from bad to worse, his 74 year old dad has to have urgent surgery on a suspect tumour in his throat.
