I keep hearing about this ITIL - What is it?

On second thoughts, don't tell me. I don't want to waste any more brain cells.

OH in "My dear Watson, now you have told me the Earth orbits the Sun instead of the other way round I'll do my best to forget it" mode

    Bit harsh.

I find "ITIL + Dull as Dishwater" also works.

I am now ocnfused by the v2 verses v3 argurment - I was hoping to do foundation and then practitioner but the new version seems to be more complicated with all the intermediate courses. On top of that it seems to add to the expense.

Anyway fought there way through the quagmire?!

There is no argument between V2 and V3 any longer. V2 training and certification is ending in December.
People will not be able to switch between v2 and v3 from January next year.
If you don't yet have any v2 qualifications you will have to follow the v3 route.

So for example, I had my Manager's Certificate but had to take my ITIL Expert crossover exam this year. I would have had to gain the credits through the intermediate courses next year.
