    ...oh what a shame.
The environmentalists have seized on a viable theory and used it for political ends. They publicized, promoted and inflated the story. The politicians got involved and the science was sidelined.
The predictions didnt come close, and the predictions were downgraded.
Every time the predictions were downgraded, the cries of what we must do got louder.
    The sceptics said 'thats illogical'
The fanatics replied 'you dont love the planet'
Eventually the predictions of horror were so low, that the political mileage was gone.
The Politicians moved onto a different bandwagon.
People began to laugh at how silly other people had been. 'They panicked more over AGW, than they did over BSE. loonies. hahahaha'

from the wikipedia on AGW - 2015

Standby for more green taxes, fuel poverty, landscapes trashed by Turbines etc etc while our economic competitors stand back and laugh their heads off.

"We are now on the edge of seeing the entire international climate regime system disintegrate and fail more or less irreversibly."
    ...oh what a shame.
