He went ahead when Ed Balls dropped out. Say no more. Trouble is, he is supposed to be charismatic. Given the stupidity of the British electorate that might be enough to inflict another Labour government on us next election. Never mind the policies.
They're not as unelectable as the 1983 Labour lot....yet
I think a lot of it will come down to how much the current mob alienate the voters over the next 4 years. Joe Public's memory is remarkably short when it is their own nuts that are getting the kicking. And what a great many of the 20-50 year olds don't realise is that their pension rights have been siphoned away, and they will only realise that when they reach the age that they were thinking about getting the carpet slippers out. I suspect in the years to come there will be a lot of Victor Meldrew's reporting for work.
