    I checked (cos ASP.NET does the browser/js etc check and serves accordingly) and it was htm

    Oh right. I don't like judging things like that too harshly because of the ASP.NET site I've just built. The .aspx code is lovely and graceful, but looking at how it renders on the client would give Beelzebub himself scary dreams.
