boring and anorakky
I must admit I don´t like the entrance of statistics into rugby. Our club coaches have now started making statistical analyses of matches. I´m actually coming out quite well (for an ageing blind side), but it´s fooking boring sitting with a coach discussing the percentage of rucks won in opposition half and the metres gained at each one, knowing he's got another 17 statistics up his sleave to discuss.
Happily, I´m too old and experienced to take this very seriously, and I'm stopping playing seriously at the end of this season, but I can't help thinking young players are going to find themselves playing a much less spontaneous game in the future.Last edited by Mich the Tester; 10 September 2010, 13:38.
