    1) Casu Marzu. This is essentially a pecorino cheese and Sardinian specialty. The direct translation is “rotten cheese”. It is cheese that is infested with maggots.



    2) Soft boiled foetal duck (aka Balut)

    Mostly eaten in the Phillippines and Vietnam, it does what it says on the egg.



    3) Sheep's head

    A traditional delicacy, served in a number of world regions, including the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.



    4) Bat soup

    Bats are part of the native cuisine in Thailand, parts of China, Guam and more, but they are considered notorious disease carriers.
