See my correction above. It's configurable, and if set to zero minutes I think it means you can change it whenever you want; but obviously that's not a good idea as it would be a spammer's paradise - wait until the thread has dropped off the front page, go back and edit your thread title to contain your spam keywords and edit your post to be stuffed with links to your site. Google will find it and either give the spammy site googlejuice or, more likely, decide that the forum is just a spam link farm and remove it entirely from its index.

Sadly, it looks like it's only changed the title on the first post, not the thread title

I think it'll change the thread title too as long as nobody has replied, but once they have you're stuck with it

Use the "Edit Post" thingy, then the "Go Advanced" button - the title is above the main editor (under the "Reason for editing" box). Maybe you can't change it after somebody's replied, but give it a try
